Milestones

1953

The company began by building new homes and remodeling old ones throughout the state of West Virginia.

1955

The first church to be built using a new method of construction called “cost plus fixed fee.” This method is considered to be the first “construction management contract” used in the State of West Virginia, and it gave the company a reputation for doing what it could to keep costs low while still providing superior results.

1957

Church building expanded from local to statewide. The company expanded its reach and began work in traditional commercial and industrial projects.

1975

Church, commercial and industrial construction expanded from statewide to national and international. Projects were awarded in Arizona and Texas.

1977

Architectural, engineering and master planning began with full time offices in WV and Atlanta, GA.

1988

Terry Wells succeeds his father, Otis Wells, as President of the company.

1997

Expanded operations into the wireless industry, including the construction of cellular switch stations, installation and construction of cellular towers and antennas, new road construction, road maintenance, networking, wiring, and various other construction and maintenance projects.

2007

At&t named BPI as the general contractor for installation and integration of UMTS (3G) at 92 existing sites in WV, KY, and OH. The project was completed on time and within budget. The Ericsson integration team stated that it was the smoothest and most efficiently run UMTS integration they had worked on to date.

BPI Leadership

Christian spent the beginning of his career as a consulting engineer for HNTB Corp. working on heavy highway projects, water resources projects, and site development projects. Christian also worked as a project manager for a large commercial contractor in Charleston, WV managing projects ranging from churches, to healthcare facilities, to large excavation and site development projects. Christian has 20 years of experience in excavation and site development, including access road excavation and construction. For the last 12 years, Christian has been involved in all aspects of wireless tower and civil construction, managing projects for the biggest company’s in wireless, including AT&T, T-Mobile, US Cellular, Ericsson, Crown Castle, SBA, and Shentel. Christian will be responsible for overall management of your projects.

Terry has over forty-five years of experience in the commercial, residential, and multi-family construction industry.  He has constructed over two hundred commercial buildings and churches across the country, reaching as far west as Phoenix, AZ, and as far north as Saskatchewan, Canada.  Terry has developed and maintained an ongoing relationship with Vanguard, AT&T Wireless, Cingular, Verizon, and Spectrasite for work ranging from cell site construction and maintenance, to operations facility construction.  Having worked on such a wide range of projects over the years, Terry has a one of the most unique résumé’s in the construction industry.

Dustin started in the wireless industry straight out of high school in 2002 as a laborer on a civil crew installing 1G NSB sites.  He eventually moved to a tower crew and started doing top hand work.   During his years in the field, Dustin gained experience installing traditional cell carrier lines and antennas , installing foundations for towers and civil equipment, erection of self-supported towers, erection of guyed towers, erection of monopoles, erection of stealth tower structures, structural tower modifications, installing/testing of microwave and backhaul systems, LTE deployment, installation/replacing DC power systems, and much more.  After more than a decade in field, Dustin was promoted to a Project Manager position and eventually promoted to his current role of Vice President of the Wireless Division.  His success can be attributed to always placing quality over quantity and placing customer satisfaction over profit.
